Individual Counseling Out of Network: $170/session
Counseling is an investment in yourself. My sliding scale spots lower than $170/session are currently full (current as of Fall 2023), and I know that not everyone is able to access insurance to help cover the cost of therapy. Please see this list I have compiled of low-cost & free therapy resources in the Portland area. If you pay out of pocket, I may be able to provide you with receipts to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company, or to your flexible spending account, health savings account, or health reimbursement account.
Interpersonal Process Group: $55 – $70/session
Some members are able to use insurance to pay for group, or be reimbursed by their insurance for a portion of the cost.
Good Faith Estimate
As a partially out-of-network practice, I am transparent with my fees so that my clients know and can plan for the cost of services. The Federal No Surprises Act went into effect on January 1, 2022 to protect clients from surprise medical bills. You may know that many people have been harmed by surprise medical bills, often incurred during emergency or surgical care where there may be out-of-network providers involved in a patient’s care without their knowledge. It is unlikely this would occur when receiving services with me, as sessions are billed at our agreed-upon rate and paid at the time of service. The most likely cause of a higher bill would be if I am asked to be involved in a legal case; however, we would discuss my fees for those services in advance should that occur. In accordance with the Act, if you are not planning to use insurance to cover sessions, I will provide a Good Faith Estimate of the costs of services prior to a first session. Rest assured that you can always ask about any costs about which you may be unsure, and you will be provided clear and accurate information.
